Hoa Vien Brauhaus Saigon
18 bis/28 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai St, District 1, Ho Chi Min, Vietnam
Hoa Vien in Ho Chi Min city steaks the claim on being the 1st and only restaurant to serve the Czech Republic imported Pilsner Urquell on draught. That was in 1995.
Through subsequent experience and encouragement from sources as diverse as the Czech Embassy in Vietnam and a name we’re encountering quite a bit in South East Asia, Pivo Praha, Hoa Vien managed to build up a brewery system inside the restaurant.
In 2001 the Saigon Hao Vien brewery launched as the 1st brewery/restaurant in Vietnam, and today they brew their own Pilsen according to traditional brewing methods.
In 2007 another branch launched in Hanoi and another in Phan Thiet. It appears, no expense was spared on the look and and feel of the venues and much effort put into a consistent, quality beer production.
A novel feature of the restaurants is drinking tables, where taps are connected directly from kegs in the cellar. Things could get interesting.
