BrewDog is arguably the most successful craft beer out there, with not just a global distribution network of their sought after craft beer, but a growing network of bars too.
Founded in 2007 by Martin Dickie and James Watt, their first factory was in Fraserburgh, a town not too far from Aberdeen in Scotland where they brewed small batches, filled their bottles by hand and sold their beers at local markets.
Ten years later the company has evolved through 3 funding rounds to claim 70,000 “sharehodlers”, over 1000 employees (and 1 dog), 46 BrewDog branded bars, and a high tech eco-friendly brewery in Ellon, Scotland.
Known for famous beers like Tactical Nuclear Penguin (32% ABV), Dead Pony Club, Punk IPA and Elvis Juice. The brand is also represented in South Africa and often crops up at craft beer festivals.
