The Kennel Brewery, an off-consumption nano brewery in Durbanville, aims for big beers in small batches that are simple, delicious and unpretentious. The brewing bug bit The Kennel Brewery’s owner, Paul Freysen, in 2012, the year he acquired a brewing kit for his first batch.
When it came to branding, Paul concluded the best tribute would be to man’s best friend. His love for dogs, beer and his hometown goes hand in hand. Born in 2014, but finally licensed in 2017, The Kennel Brewery’s all-year beers include The ALEsation and St BEERnard, and the seasonal PORTER Collie and MALTYEAST Poodle.
