Diesel & Dust Craft Beer
37 Mark Street, Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa
Diesel and Dust Craft Beer is based in the Western Cape town of Stellenbosch, where they lay claim to being the True Brew.
Their name was inspired by a band from the 80s, Midnight Oil, and their album called Diesel & Dust. It was felt the name embodies a philosophy of hard work, and perseverance to get the job done and invokes the image of an old school saloon where hard working people gather at the end of the day for an ice cold beer.
The owner of Diesel & Dust, Dr. Werner Roux, is well known in business circles, co-owns Goose Wines with Retief Goosen, and is the founder of Vinesse, a national wine distributor. Werner also launched private label Cola’s and Hooch back in the day.
Meanwhile, the man behind Diesel & Dust's day-to-day operations is General Manager Eugene Loffie Elof. A rugby coach who famously lead the junior Springboks to two world cup wins, he leverages his strength in people management to keep Diesel & Dust Craft Beer burning bright.
Together, the Diesel & Dust Craft Beer team offers a brand that resonates with those who work hard and play hard, be they craft beer connoisseurs or casual beer drinkers.
