More about Thousand Sensations Craft Beer & Food Festival
Thousand Sensations Craft Beer & Food Festival returns in 2017 for the 4th installment of this popular festival. It’s taking place in Wilderness, near George on South Africa’s Garden Route.
On 15 & 16 September 40 craft brewers converge to present 170 artisanal beers and ciders. The event is expected to draw a crowd of over 3,000 sensation seekers this year.
Catering also to non-beer drinkers, Thousand Sensations this year added 8 craft distilleries. Tapanga Rum, Six Dogs, Black Mountain and Fynbos Distilleries are among them, and adds a variety of whisky, brandy, vodka, gin and rum sensations.
Wine drinkers will also be catered too, but even if alcohol is not your think, there’s non-alcoholic and fresh, handmade juice galore, not to mention the handmade you can drool over. The Wilderness Hotel and 10 gourmet food stalls are tasked to keep stomachs happy over the weekend.
For entertainment there’s the musical talents of Andra, Riaan Smit, Kevin Leo, Behind Two Jays, Jonty Hendrix & Wade and others and others to look forward to.
Like last year the exciting activities start well before the main event does. 3 pairing sessions, each featuring 8 different beers, take place in George, Oudtshoorn and Wilderness respectively in the week leading up to Thousand Sensations.
